PRIME RESOURCES
is a Ghana based Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) into Sustainable
Development, focusing on the human and natural resource development,
especially deprived communities. This initiative was adopted four
years ago by its leaders, after they were officially assigned leadership
roles in the African and West African Sub – regions in the World
Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) as well as World Summit
on the Information Society (WSIS) processes respectively. In order
to make greater impact its activities were initially carried out
through and in partnership with other local NGOs such as Young Peace
Builders Network (YPBN) and African Youth Initiative (AYI). Essentially,
PRIME RESOURCES seeks to cultivate and develop the crucial bridge
(i.e. young people and natural resources) to link the old and future
generation. It is registered under Ghanaian law with registration
number G.13, 006.
- Our focus is to reach out to the future through the present
generation by effectively managing our resources (both natural
and human).
- Afforestation & Waste management.
- Fusing environmental concerns into economic activities of
the communities.
- Source funding for community based projects.
- Working closely with women and young people (those in, as
well as out of school), as a means of inculcating sustainable
values into future generations.
- Wide information dissemination through, public for a, information
vans, seminars, media etc · Collaborate with likeminded community
based organizations to implement programs.
- Adopting ICT medium as a means of reaching out to the youth.
- Best modules will be duplicated in other communities in
Ghana and the African continent at large.
- Internship for young students and graduates · Make inputs
into policies that affect young people Organize empowerment
workshops, seminars.
